The Fair is much more than Bright Lights, Midway Rides and Food for Every Taste! This 12 day event includes a grand exhibition of agricultural, industrial, mechanical, horticultural, arts and crafts, music and entertainment, dairy and livestock, equestrian, forestry and natural resources from across the entire State. Each year, hundreds of volunteers contribute thousands of hours towards the success of the Fair. Volunteers ensure the smooth operation of a wide variety of Fair activities.
Benefits of volunteering for the Florida State Fair include free admission to the Fairgrounds, and additional admission tickets for friends and family for those volunteers completing multiple shifts. Florida State Fair hats and pins are awarded for service and Volunteers may also receive invitations to the pre-fair luncheon and post-fair brunch to thank them for their hard work.
All returning volunteers and those attending a new volunteer Orientation Session will receive an exclusive Florida State Fair Volunteer T-Shirt to be worn during volunteer shifts.
Volunteers must be at least 16 years old and students can use their Florida State Fair volunteer hours to fulfill Community Service Hours towards the Bright Futures Scholarship program. All volunteers are required to undergo an annual Background Check to ensure the safety and security of fairgoers and staff.
Once you are notified that your application is received, you will be able to sign up for an Orientation Session and have access to the Background Check and Liability forms.
